Giving directly to Transanta is a great way to support trans youth in one easy transaction. Your support ensures that we’re able to provide mutual aid to our community for the coming year.
Donations to Transanta go to purchasing supplemental gifts after each holiday season is over. In late January, once the general public has stopped fulfilling the gift registries, we go on a buying spree to guarantee that all participants receive a portion of the items on their registries!
Donations are also used to pay mission-aligned employee costs, such as fairly paid full-time and part-time employment of trans adults to administer the program and to build the Transanta platform. And of course there are also tech fees, website costs, and subscriptions to services without which we could not run this program! We simply can’t operate without your support!
2.
Buy gifts directly for trans youth from their registries!
Each holiday season from roughly mid-November to mid-January, we share thousands of letters to Transanta along with their individual gift registries.
This is a great way to make a very meaningful impact on an individual's life, knowing you've fulfilled a direct request for support and brought them untold joy!
These gifts are not tax-deductible as they do not pass through our organization. These purchases are made on Amazon, and the gifts are dispatched directly to the youth to their undisclosed shipping addresses.
The giving campaign happens annually during the winter holiday season.

Unfortunately we are unable to receive and distribute physical items. We suggest you contact your nearest LGBTQ center to see if they are able to accept your items!

Absolutely, that would be wonderful! Feel free to pull our logo and any supporting language from our website. You can donate a lump sum or direct your participants to donate at transanta.com/donate.
If you anticipate raising a substantial amount of support and would like a dedicated donation portal for your event, please contact kyle@transanta.com.

YES! You can leave affirming comments on the letters posted to our Instagram!
You can still support trans youth by using your voice and your personal platforms to take action.
You can contact your state representatives and senators and tell them to oppose any anti-trans legislation!
You can contact your US Senator and tell them to support the Equality Act. The Equality Act is federal civil rights legislation that will expand protections for LGBTQ people, all women, and everyone currently protected under our nation’s civil rights laws!
You can educate people in your life. This one is huge. Educate your friends, your family, your peers, your community, about the many attacks on trans youth — and encourage them to get involved! It takes all of us to make the change we need.
